Champagne Pick-Me-Up

Some evenings call for a nightcap. Whatever the occasion, a service for one or an intimate drink for two is a sophisticated offering. This cocktail recipe was shared as part of my Sweet Nightcap series on Instagram.

It may be difficult to fathom that anyone would actually want only one drink to ease and unload the day—but then, we are all still wild, young & free (or can at least pretend to be). Paul Masson’s Grand Amber Peach delivers a smooth, flavorful, and fruity experience. Double the portions to make an offering for two.

Ingredients

  • 4-6 cracked ice cubes into shaker
  • Dash of grenadine
  • 2 measures brandy
  • 1 measure peach simple syrup or lightly sweetened peach juice
  • 1 measure lemon juice
  • sparkling wine or champagne
 

Instructions

  1. Put cracked ice cubes into a cocktail shaker.

  2. Pour in brandy, triple sec, and lime juice over ice.

  3. Pour into chilled wine glass, top with chilled champagne

  4. Decorate with lemon peel twist

  5. Enjoy!
