Ingredients
Basic Recipe
- 4-6 cracked ice cubes into the shaker
- 2 measures brandy
- 1 measure fresh lemon juice
- 1 Tbsp simple syrup
- chilled champagne, to top off
- To decorate:
- twist of lemon peel
Instructions
Put the cracked ice cubes into a cocktail shaker. Pour the brandy, lemon juice, and simply syrup over the ice and shake vigorously until a frost forms.
Strain into a chilled highball glass and top off with champagne. Decorate with the lemon twist.
Enjoy!
Second Version:
Put 4-6 cracked ice cubes into a cocktail shaker.
Pour 2 measures Plymouth gin and 1 measure fresh lime juice over the ice and shake vigorously until a frost forms.
Strain into a chilled wine glass and top off with chilled champagne.
Decorate with a cocktail cherry.
Second Version:
Put 1 teaspoon superfine sugar into a tall, chilled glass.
Add 1 measure fresh lemon juice and stir until the sugar has dissolved.
Fill the glass with cracked ice cubes.
Pour 2 measures gin over the ice and top off with chilled champagne.
Decorate with slices of orange and cocktail cherries.
