Smoked Oxtail Flatbread
This recipe was shared as part of my Quick Dinner series on Instagram. These dinners can be made with minimal ingredients in under 20 minutes, using what I have in my kitchen.
An elevated pizza will pair perfectly with champagne or sparkling wine. This smoked Oxtail Flatbread Pizza with arugula is a tease & dinner pleaser.
Making smoked oxtails at home is effortless. It just requires some patience. Oxtails are flavor enough with adding a tremendous amount of seasonings, as they contain quite a bit of which should be removed before serving. Although, leaving the fat attached while the oxtails are cooking contributes to the deliciousness of the final product.

Ingredients
- 3-5 smoked oxtails (dependent on size), deboned & diced
- 4 tomatoes, cut in half
- pizza crust
- fresh mozzarella, grated & shredded
- 1 c. arugula
- teaspoon olive oil
Instructions
Saute tomatoes in oxtail juice. Set aside.
Even spread grated mozzarella on pizza crust.
Layer sauteed tomatoes on top of the cheese. Add on oxtails.
Bake in the oven, directly on the rack, for 6-8 minutes, until cheese is melted. Remove.
Toss arugula in olive oil and place on top of the pizza.
Lightly shred additional mozzarella, to your liking.
Slice and enjoy.
